This 1964 Dodge Power Wagon is a crew-cab Sweptline pickup that originally rolled off the assembly line in September 1963. In 2016, the truck underwent an extensive restoration, including a refinished body in gray with black accents. The body was mounted on a shortened chassis from a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab 4×4 pickup during a project that began with ICON of Los Angeles, California, and was completed by LaBrecque Autocraft of East Windsor, Connecticut. The result is a stunning combination of classic design and modern performance.
Powering this unique pickup is a Magnuson-supercharged 5.7-liter Hemi V8, which is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission and dual-range transfer case from the Dodge Ram 2500. The chassis has been upgraded with a Kore Performance 3″ lift kit, Fox Shocks, and features four-wheel disc brakes for enhanced performance. The front and rear differentials are equipped with limited-slip gearing, ensuring reliable traction on rough terrain. Additionally, the truck sits on 18″ Fuel wheels and 37″ Nitto mud-terrain tires, which give it an aggressive, off-road ready look. The truck also features an alligator-print vinyl roof cover, aftermarket bumpers, and additional lighting to improve its rugged aesthetics and functionality.
Inside the four-door cabin, you’ll find a comfortable two-tone upholstery, upgraded air conditioning, power windows, and a Bluetooth sound system with a subwoofer. These modern upgrades blend seamlessly with the truck’s vintage charm, making it as comfortable on the road as it is capable off it. The truck was purchased on BaT in August 2021, and since then, the seller has added 1,200 miles to the odometer, addressed electrical issues, and installed power door locks for added convenience.
This modified 1964 Dodge Power Wagon Sweptline is a rare find, combining the timeless appeal of a classic truck with the performance and features of a modern off-roader. It’s now offered with a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name, which lists the model year as 1963. Whether you’re a collector or an off-road enthusiast, this truck offers a one-of-a-kind driving experience.
The Power Wagon’s body was removed from the frame and placed over a shortened donor frame from the aforementioned ¾-ton Mega Cab pickup. The project began at ICON in California, and both trucks were later moved to LaBreque Autocraft in Connecticut, where the truck body was refinished in gray with an alligator-skin-textured vinyl roof covering that extends to the rear of the cab. Customized MOVE bumpers and lighting were installed along with an integrated front winch, and the grille, side steps, mirrors, and badging also are finished in black. A custom release for the tailgate was fabricated.
A Kore Performance 3″ lift kit with Fox Shocks and hot-wound coil springs was installed, and the front and rear axles are equipped with red brake calipers and cross-drilled and slotted rotors. Two-tone bronze and black 18″ Fuel Off-Road wheels are mounted with 37×12.50″ Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires.
The interior features bolstered front bucket seats and a rear bench with black leather upholstery and gray alligator-print inserts, which extend to the headrests, door handles, and the lid of the locking center console. A Vintage Air climate system has been added along with power windows and a BOSS MGR350B marine-grade Bluetooth receiver linked to Scosche components including the speakers, amplifier, and subwoofer. Following the seller’s acquisition, electrical issues were repaired and power door locks were installed.
The four-spoke Forever Sharp steering wheel is mounted to a Flaming River tilting steering column with a shifter for the automatic transmission. A Classic Instruments gauge cluster includes a 140-mph speedometer with an integrated 8k-rpm tachometer flanked by gauges to monitor fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure.
